Ingredients

4 large eggs (room temp)

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

¾ cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla extract

2½ cups all-purpose flour

2½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

3 tbsp cocoa powder
-
2 tbsp milk (for chocolate batter)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan (9–10 inch).

Mix wet ingredients:
Beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Mix in milk, oil, and vanilla. -
Add dry ingredients:
Gently fold in flour, baking powder, and salt. -
Divide batter:
Split batter evenly into two bowls. Stir cocoa powder and 2 tbsp milk into one bowl. -
Create the zebra pattern:
Spoon 3 tbsp vanilla batter into the center of the pan.
Spoon 3 tbsp chocolate batter directly on top.
Repeat, alternating, always pouring into the center. -
Bake 40–45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool before slicing to reveal the stripes.
