Steak Avocado Salad
Ingredients (serves 2–3)
Steak

1 lb (450 g) flank, sirloin, or ribeye steak

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp paprika (optional)
Salad

Mixed greens or arugula
-
2 ripe avocados, sliced
-
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
-
½ red onion, thinly sliced
-
Optional: cucumber or corn
Dressing
-
3 tbsp olive oil
-
1½ tbsp fresh lemon juice or balsamic vinegar
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard
-
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
-
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook the steak

Pat dry and season with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Grill or pan-sear over high heat:

3–4 min per side (medium-rare)
-
4–5 min per side (medium)
-

Rest 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.

Make the dressing
-
Whisk all dressing ingredients until smooth.

Assemble

Arrange greens on a platter.

Top with sliced steak, avocado, tomatoes, and onion.

Drizzle with dressing and serve immediately.
