Onion Gravy

1 large onion, sliced

Instructions

Make the patties
Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Shape into 4–6 oval patties. -
Brown the steaks
Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside. -
Cook onions
In the same skillet, add butter/oil and sliced onions.
Cook until soft and golden. -
Make gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions and stir 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in beef broth. Simmer until thickened. -
Simmer together
Return patties to skillet.
Cover and simmer 10–15 minutes until cooked through and tender.
