Set aside.
3. Make cake batter:
-
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
-
Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to butter mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.

Spread half of cake batter in pan.
-
Dollop cream cheese mixture evenly over batter.

Let cool 15–20 minutes before drizzling caramel.
6. Make caramel drizzle:

In a small saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar over medium heat.
-
Stir in cream and salt, simmer 2–3 minutes until smooth.
-
Let cool slightly, then drizzle over cooled cake.
7. Serve:
-
Slice and enjoy warm or room temperature. Optional: scoop vanilla ice cream for indulgence!
🌟 Tips for Ultimate Flavor:
-
Use softened, not melted butter for fluffier cake.
-
Swirl gently to create cinnamon streaks without fully blending into batter.
-
Toast pecans lightly for extra crunch and flavor.
-
Caramel can be made ahead and reheated slightly for drizzling.
I can also give a mini bundt or sheet pan version so you can serve a crowd, or a one-bowl shortcut version that still keeps all the cream cheese and caramel magic.
