Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup powdered sugar

1 large egg

1 tbsp fresh orange zest

2 tbsp fresh orange juice

2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

Cream butter + powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg, orange zest, orange juice, vanilla, and champagne (if using).

Mix in flour and salt just until combined.

Chill dough 30 minutes (helps hold shape).

Roll into 1-inch balls, lightly roll tops in orange sugar, and gently flatten.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until edges are just set.
