Lazy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients

½ cup (1 stick) melted butter

¾ cup brown sugar

¼ cup white sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1½ cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup chocolate chips (any kind you like)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

In a bowl, mix melted butter and both sugars until smooth.

Stir in the egg and vanilla.

Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Spread the dough evenly in the pan.

Bake 20–25 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just set.

Cool slightly, slice into bars, and enjoy.
