🌭 Italian Sausage, Onions & Peppers
🧂 Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
- 1–2 bell peppers (red, green, or yellow), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- Optional: splash of balsamic vinegar
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Brown the sausage
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sausage and cook until browned on all sides (about 8–10 minutes).
Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté vegetables
In the same pan, add olive oil if needed.
Cook onions and peppers 6–8 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized.
Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
3️⃣ Combine
Slice sausage into chunks (or keep whole).
Return to pan. Add oregano, salt, and pepper.
Cook 5 more minutes until everything is tender and juicy.
4️⃣ Optional boost
Add a small splash of balsamic vinegar at the end for depth.
