Hot Dog Burnt Ends
Ingredients

2 packs all-beef hot dogs

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

2 tbsp BBQ rub (sweet or smoky)

½ cup BBQ sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

1 tbsp butter (for finishing)
Instructions (Oven or Grill)
1. Prep

Preheat oven or grill to 275°F.

Slice hot dogs into 1½–2 inch pieces.

Toss with olive oil and BBQ rub.
2. Smoke / Roast

Place hot dogs cut-side down on a rack or pan.

Cook 45–60 minutes, turning once, until edges darken and start to crisp.
3. Sauce & Candy

Transfer hot dogs to a foil pan.

Add BBQ sauce, brown sugar, honey, and butter.

Toss to coat evenly.
4. Finish

Return to oven/grill.

Increase heat to 350°F.

Cook another 20–30 minutes, stirring once, until sticky and caramelized.
