Ingredients (makes 4 flatbreads)
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/3 cup water (adjust as needed)
-
1 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for brushing)
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
Optional: chopped parsley or dried herbs
Instructions
-
Mix dough: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt. Stir in water and 1 tbsp olive oil until a soft dough forms.
-
Divide & shape: Split dough into 4 balls. Roll each into a thin circle or oval.
-
Cook flatbreads:
-
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Cook each flatbread 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and puffed.
-
-
Add garlic flavor: While hot, brush with olive oil and sprinkle minced garlic on top. Add parsley or dried herbs if using.
-
Serve warm as a snack, side for curry, soup, or dip!
Tips
-
Make them extra garlicky by mixing the garlic into the olive oil before brushing.
-
For softer flatbreads, cover them with a clean towel after cooking.
-
Can also be cooked on a grill for a smoky flavor.
If you want, I can give a cheesy, ultra-garlicky 10-minute version that’s basically irresistible for dipping in pizza sauce or soup. Want me to do that?
