Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil or butter

1 tbsp butter (additional)

5–6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Season & Sear Shrimp

Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until just pink.

Remove shrimp and set aside.

Make the Sauce

Lower heat to medium.

Add butter to the same skillet.

Sauté garlic 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown).

Pour in chicken broth; simmer 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.

Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan.

Simmer gently until sauce thickens.

Return shrimp to skillet.

Add lemon juice and red pepper flakes (if using).
