Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
Dough

3½ cups all-purpose flour

2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)

¼ cup sugar

1 tsp salt
-
¾ cup warm milk
-
¼ cup melted butter
-
1 egg
Filling
-
½ cup brown sugar
-
2 tbsp cinnamon
-
¼ cup softened butter
Cream Cheese Icing
-
4 oz cream cheese, softened
-
2 tbsp butter, softened
-
¾–1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
1–2 tbsp milk (if needed)
Instructions
1. Make the dough

Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Rest 5 minutes.

Add egg, melted butter, salt, and flour.

Knead 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic.

Cover and let rise 1–1½ hours, until doubled.
2. Roll & fill

Roll dough into a rectangle.

Spread butter evenly.
-
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough.

Roll tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
3. Second rise
-
Place rolls in a greased pan.
-
Cover and rise 30–45 minutes.
4. Bake

Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 22–25 minutes until lightly golden.
5. Ice

Beat icing ingredients until smooth.

Spread over warm rolls.
