Christmas Jam 🎄🍓
A festive, spiced fruit jam perfect for holiday breakfasts, gifts, or spreading on toast, scones, or crackers. Usually made with winter fruits and warm spices to give it that cozy Christmas vibe.
Ingredients (makes about 2 cups)
-
2 cups fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, cranberries)
-
1 cup sugar (or adjust to taste)
-
½ tsp ground cinnamon
-
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
-
¼ tsp ground cloves
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
Optional: 1 tsp orange zest for extra holiday aroma
Instructions
-
Prep fruit:
If using large berries (like strawberries), chop them into small pieces. -
Cook jam:
In a medium saucepan, combine berries, sugar, spices, and lemon juice.
Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. -
Simmer:
Reduce heat and simmer 15–20 minutes, until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency. -
Test consistency:
Place a small spoonful on a cold plate—if it sets after a minute, it’s ready. -
Cool & store:
Pour into sterilized jars. Let cool completely before sealing. Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.
Tips & Variations
