Quick, easy, and no oven needed!
Ingredients
-
1/2 cup butter
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1 3/4 cups sugar
-
1/4 cup cocoa powder
-
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy works best)
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
3 cups quick oats
Instructions
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
-
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, milk, sugar, and cocoa.
-
Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute (important for setting).
-
Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
-
Mix in oats until well coated.
-
Drop spoonfuls onto prepared sheet.
-
Let cool and set for 20–30 minutes.
Tips for Success
-
Boil exactly 1 minute: less = too soft, more = dry.
-
Humidity can affect setting—if very humid, add 1–2 tbsp extra oats.
-
Use quick oats, not old-fashioned, for best texture.
Fun Variations
-
Add shredded coconut
-
Sprinkle with sea salt
-
Use crunchy peanut butter
-
Drizzle with melted chocolate
