Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars
Ingredients

1½ cups chocolate chips (milk or dark)

¾ cup soft caramel candies or thick caramel sauce

2 cups crunchy cereal (rice cereal, cornflakes, or puffed rice)

1 tablespoon butter (optional, helps caramel melt smoothly)

Pinch of salt (optional, for salted caramel flavor)
Instructions

Melt the chocolate

Put chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.

Heat in 20–30 second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth.

Prepare the caramel

If using caramel candies: melt them gently with the butter in the microwave, stirring often.

If using caramel sauce: warm slightly so it’s easy to mix.

Mix the crunch

Stir the cereal into the melted chocolate until evenly coated.

Layer it up

Press half the chocolate-cereal mix into a parchment-lined pan.

Spread caramel evenly over the layer.

Top with the remaining chocolate-cereal mix and gently press down.

Chill & set

Refrigerate for about 1 hour, until firm.
