Air Fryer Poached Eggs (Serves 1–2)
You’ll need
-
Eggs (1 per ramekin)
-
Small oven-safe ramekins or heatproof bowls
-
Hot water
-
Nonstick spray or a little oil (optional)
-
Salt & pepper (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
-
Prep ramekins: Lightly grease each ramekin if you want easier release.
-
Add water: Pour 2–3 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
-
Crack the egg gently into the water (keep the yolk intact).
-
Air fry: Carefully place the ramekins in the basket and cook for
6–8 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.-
6 min = very runny
-
7 min = soft/runny
-
8 min = more set
-
-
Remove carefully (they’re hot), lift the egg out with a spoon, and drain.
-
Season and serve.
Tips
-
Covering the ramekin loosely with foil can help the top cook more evenly.
-
If your air fryer runs hot, start checking at 5½–6 minutes.
-
Great on toast, avocado toast, or with a breakfast bowl.
If you want, tell me your air fryer model or how runny you like the yolk, and I’ll fine-tune the timing.
