Portuguese Sawdust Pudding (Serradura)
Ingredients

300 ml (about 1¼ cups) cold whipping cream

1 can (395 g) sweetened condensed milk

200 g plain tea biscuits or Maria biscuits

Optional: a few drops of vanilla extract
Instructions

Crush the biscuits
Place biscuits in a bag and crush them into fine crumbs (like sawdust). Set aside. -
Whip the cream
In a bowl, whip the cold cream until soft peaks form. -
Mix
Gently fold the condensed milk (and vanilla, if using) into the whipped cream until smooth. -
Layer
In glasses or a dish:-
Add a layer of biscuit crumbs

Add a layer of cream mixture
Repeat, finishing with biscuit crumbs on top.

Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours (overnight is best).
