Ingredients

2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or NY strip)

Salt & black pepper

1 Tbsp oil (for cooking)

2–4 eggs

1 Tbsp butter (optional)
Instructions

Season the steak:
Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Let sit at room temp for about 10 minutes. -
Cook the steak:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with oil.
Cook steak 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until cooked to your liking.
Remove and let rest. -
Cook the eggs:
Lower heat to medium. Add butter if using.
Fry eggs sunny-side up or over-easy until whites are set. -
Serve:
Plate steak with eggs on top or on the side.
