Here’s an easy No-Knead Garlic Bread—crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside, with big garlic-butter flavor and almost no hands-on work.
🧄🍞 No-Knead Garlic Bread
Yields: 1 loaf
Prep time: 5 minutes
Rise time: 2–3 hours (or overnight)
Bake time: 35–40 minutes
Ingredients
Bread Dough
3 cups all-purpose flour
1¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp instant yeast
1⅓ cups warm water
Garlic Butter Finish
3 tbsp butter, melted
2–3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Mix dough (no kneading!)
In a bowl, stir flour, salt, yeast, and water until a sticky dough forms. Cover and let rise 2–3 hours at room temperature (or overnight in the fridge).
Preheat oven
Heat oven to 450°F / 230°C with a Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot inside.
Shape dough
Turn dough onto floured parchment paper. Gently shape into a round loaf—do not knead.
Bake bread
Place dough (with parchment) into hot pot. Cover and bake 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake 10–15 minutes until golden and crusty.
Garlic butter finish
Mix melted butter, garlic, olive oil, parsley, and salt.
Brush generously over hot bread.
Final crisp (optional but amazing)
Return bread to oven (uncovered) for 3–5 minutes to set the garlic butter.
Serve
Cool slightly, slice, and enjoy warm.
Variations
Cheesy garlic bread: Sprinkle mozzarella or Parmesan after brushing butter.
Herb garlic bread: Add rosemary, thyme, or Italian seasoning.
Roasted garlic: Use roasted garlic for a sweeter flavor.
No Dutch oven: Bake on a preheated baking stone or tray with steam.
Serving Ideas
Perfect with pasta, soup, steak, or as a pull-apart appetizer.
If you want, I can make this into no-knead garlic knots, air-fryer garlic bread, or a cheesy pull-apart loaf
