Roasted Turkey & Chicken Recipe
Ingredients

1 whole turkey or whole chicken (cleaned)

3–4 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
-
1 lemon (cut in half)

1 onion (cut into chunks)

Optional: carrots & potatoes
Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Pat the turkey or chicken dry with paper towels.

Mix olive oil (or butter), garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs.

Rub the mixture all over the turkey or chicken.

Stuff the inside with lemon and onion.

Place in a roasting pan. Add vegetables around it if using.

Roast:
-
Chicken: 1–1½ hours

Turkey: 2½–4 hours (depending on size)

Baste once or twice with pan juices.
-
Rest for 15 minutes before cutting.
Tip
If the skin browns too fast, loosely cover with foil.
