Tennessee Peach Pudding
Ingredients

4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (or frozen, thawed)

1 cup sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¾ cup milk

½ cup (1 stick) butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Put the butter in a baking dish and place it in the oven until melted.

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).

Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth.

Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.

Spoon peaches evenly over the batter without stirring.
